A Stone to the Head (2019), 30’, drama for SATB choir and chamber ensemble (clarinet, two violins, viola, cello, piano, African drums, and fixed media). Laying Out the Colors (2015), 55', musical drama for seven singers, small chorus, two pianos, and projected images.  Commissioned by the vocal program of the College of St. Benedict and St. John's University and premiered in November 2015.  Watch.

 

Weehawken (2013), 90', opera for seven singers, small chorus, and chamber orchestra (fl, ob, cl doubling bass cl, perc, hammered dulcimer, strings).  Premiered at Princeton University in April 2013.  Listen.

 

The Navigator (2011), 80', oratorio for SATB choir, four soloists (two sopranos, tenor, bass-baritone), and chamber orchestra (fl doubling alto fl, ob, cl, tpt, tbn, tba, strings, perc).  Written with the support of the Martin A. Dale Award and premiered at St. Cloud State University in August 2011.
