Newly Raised (2017), 14', 14 musicians (fl, cl, bsn, 4 vn, 2 va, 2 vc, 1 db, pno, narrator).  Premiered at the National Opera Center in August 2018 in a benefit concert for Collateral Repair Project, a non-profit that does relief aid and community programming with refugees in Amman, Jordan and to whom any royalties from the piece are donated.  Newly Raised uses the same ensemble as the chamber version of Aaron Copland's Appalachian Spring and responds to its narrative to tell a story of resilience and American welcome.

 

Clarion (2016), 6', full orchestra (2, 2, 2d1bass, 2 - 2, 3, 2, 1, harp, vibraphone, strings).  Read by the Stony Brook Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Susan Deaver, in fall 2016.

 

Expansion (2014), 7', 8 trombones (6 tenor, 2 bass) or 8-part trombone choir.  Premiered by the Minneapolis Trombone Choir in spring 2015.

 

Transcontinental (2011), 6'; fl, cl, ob, bsn, hn, tpt, tbn, tba, single strings.  Premiered by members of the New York Youth Symphony at Symphony Space in May 2011 and awarded the Derek Bermel Prize for achievement in composition.
